I have two younger siblings, a sister namedOlive and a brother named Arti. My brother Ethan was reaped last year. Back in 11 its notmuch but harvesting and planting the crops. Same old same oldWhat strengths do you bring to the games?•Kylie: Back in 11 we have a phrase we use 'We must become the plants. The weeds among uswill strike fast and hard, only the oaks survive. Be an Oak'*shrugs* I plan to be the Oakin this situation. I've come too far and seen too much to let anyone stand in the way ofme going home to my family.Any special skills you have, or have been working on in training?•Kylie: Workers in 11 learn to survive off the land in order to work later. I'm confidentin my abilities to survive in the arena as long as it takes for me to defeat the others. How have your mentors been preparing you for the arena?•Kylie: 11 has the bad luck of not having many victors in the past. The only mentorsurviving in sucking on a lamb chop back in their hotel room staring at the wall. But thatwon't stop me from winning this. What or who are you fighting for in the games?•Kylie: I fight for my family, for my brother who was murdered here last year, and foreveryone back in 11 who never thought they could win.Is there anyone back home you’d like to send a message to?•Kylie: To Oli and Arti, I'm coming home *stares down camera*How are you finding the Capitol and its people? Any surprises or favorite moments so•far?Kylie: Well the view we have from our hotel is better than back home and the food is likeheaven in my mouth. I haven't had the *tries not to pause or hurl* pleasure of meetingmany captial folk while I've been here but if I win I'm sure that will change *fake smile*What do you think of life in the Capitol compared to your home life?•Kylie: Lot more concrete thats for sure. Even all the glitter and gold around here can'tcompare to a sunrise back in the orchardsHave you considered any alliances with other tributes?•Kylie: I normally work alone but if theres someone out there in the crowd of tributes thatfeels the same way I do then I'd be happy to form oneWho do you see as your biggest competition among the other tributes?•Kylie: Not really sure, there are some big guys and girls from the higher districts likeone and two. That district 4 guys as well. But it shouldn't be a problem as long as theystay out of my wayHow do you plan to handle the challenges and dangers of the arena?• Kylie: The same way I approach every challenge, with my mind and my heart. I've never meta challenge I haven't overcome with those two. What are your thoughts as the games come closer and closer?•Kylie: The longer we wait the longer it takes for me to get home. So everytime I wake up Ithink of home and how they need me in that moment.Any final words for the audience and potential sponsors watching tonight?•Kylie: To all the people in the audience tonight listening to me speak, know this. I cameto win fair and square and nothing is stopping me from getting back to taking care of myfamily, I don't care if theres a manic with a knife running after me and slicing me uplike they did my brother, I will win. What legacy do you hope to leave behind?•Kylie: I don't want to leave a legacy, I don't want to leave anything in that arena. I'mgoing back to 11 whether y'all like it or not
