Notes for drama
Stage manager:
The person that is responsible for lighting, props, oversee sets, sounds, and other technical
cues. They are like the right hand man to the director.
Scenic designer:
They design all of the things that immerse you in the production such as backgrounds,
buildings, rooms, furniture, etc.
Props master:
They get all of the props for the production, make sure they are used properly (PROPerly
hehe), organize them, and tell people how to use them and when.
Costume designer:
The costume designer is in charge of the costume team, they come up with the costume
budget, and are in charge of ttings with the actors.
Choreographer:
The choreographer creates the dances used in a production and teaches them to the actors
Music director:
The music director leads the orchestra, and is in charge of any other music such as choirs
and singers on stage.
Producer:
They hire all of the other people such as actors, choreographers, directors, etc.
Video designer:
The video designer is in charge of any footage or graphics used in a production.
Front of house staff:
The front of house staff ensure the quality of the auditorium and foyer
Dramaturg:
The dramaturg has lots of knowledge about musicals and productions and use this
knowledge to help others to do their job better
